Traveling to Egypt or Living There?

Hi all,
Has anyone ever traveled to Egypt or lived in Egypt? Were you able to get around independently and live/travel independently there? What were some hardships that you encountered while doing so, and what advice would you give to another blind person looking to go there either to visit or live? How accessible is transportation there?
